The following are links to old topographic maps (1893 through the 1940's) of different parts of the watershed. They help put a face to the streams and rivers we talk about. They are quite large and may take a couple minutes to come up.
Brockton area map, including the Salisbury Plain, Coweeset and West Meadow Brooks Whitman quadrangle, this map shows most of the Satucket River watershed. North East portion of the Taunton Quadrangle, including Hockomock Swamp and the Town River Watershed. North West portion of the Taunton Quadrangle, including Mill, Three Mile and Canoe Rivers. South East portion of the Taunton Quadrangle, including Cotley, Assonet and lower Taunton Great River.
The following maps are portions of the Assawompsett quadrangles. Even on the maps it is a beautiful sight.
Northwest portion of Assawompsett Quadrangle. Northeast portion of Assawompsett Quadrangle. On the highlands between Owl Swamp and Nemasket (Lakeside) is the ancient Wamponoag village called Wampanucket. Southwest portion of Assawompsett Quadrangle. Southeast portion of Assawompsett Quadrangle Southwest portion of Middleboro Quadrangle.
